Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” Donaire Returns
Let’s Get It On Promotions is pleased to announce that former world title challenger, Glenn “The Filipino Bomber” Donaire will be billed as the co-main event on their WAR FOR THE WEST card on February 22nd 2008. The show will be headlined by Jesse Brinkley and Otis Griffin who will be fighting for the vacant WBC-USNBC super middleweight championship.
Too Much Povetkin For Chambers
There is yet one more Russian battleship on the horizon in the heavyweight division and in this engagement he simply had too much firepower for his American counterpart. Undefeated Alexander Povetkin captured an IBF heavyweight elimination title bout by rallying over the second half of the fight to pound out a twelve round unanimous decision over “Fast” Eddie Chambers. The former Gold medal winner in the super heavyweight division at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece, Povetkin came on strong in the second half of the contest to grind down the previously undefeated Chambers to ice the victory going away.
