Valero Jumps Zavaleta
One of boxing’s best sluggers finished off the year by turning out the lights in one of the most popular resort cities in Mexico. WBA super featherweight Edwin “El Inca” Valero scored a thundering third round technical knockout over challenger Zaid “El Exterminador” Zavaleta to retain his 130-pound world championship in Mexico’s easternmost state, Quintana Roo, on the Yucatán Peninsula.
