Darrell Arthur had 20 points and eight rebounds and No. 4 Kansas used first-half runs of 14-2 and 12-0 to beat Division II Fort Hays State 93-56 on Tuesday night in the final exhibition game for both teams. The Jayhawks, who wore red uniforms instead of the traditional home whites, led 43-17 at halftime and extended the lead to as many as 38 points. Kansas shot 56 percent from the field and outscored Fort Hays State 60-14 in the paint.

No. 3 Memphis takes down Richmond
Freshman Derrick Rose had 21 points to help No. 3 Memphis beat Richmond 80-63 on Tuesday night in the 2K Sports College Hoops Classic, spoiling the Spiders’ hopes of scoring the first upset of the young season. The freshman guard was 6-for-8 for the field and overcame early foul trouble to spark the Tigers (2-0), who found themselves trailing at home with less than 13 minutes to play.
