Central Michigan reinstates C Van (AP)
Central Michigan’s basketball coach reinstated Marcus Van less than two weeks after the senior was dismissed for a violation of team rules. Van recently demonstrated a better understanding of what is expected from team members, coach Ernie Zeigler said in a statement this week. Van will start the season with a six-game suspension.

Central Michigan’s basketball coach reinstated Marcus Van less than two weeks after the senior was dismissed for a violation of team rules. Van recently demonstrated a better understanding of what is expected from team members, coach Ernie Zeigler said in a statement this week. Van will start the season with a six-game suspension. Zeigler announced Van’s dismissal on Oct. 24. The 6-foot-7 center from Chicago played in 30 games last year, his only season at Central Michigan. He averaged 5.
