Big gamble pays off for owners of Kip Deville in Breeders’ Cup Mile (AP)
A hefty gamble paid off as Kip Deville won the $2.6 million Breeders’ Cup Mile on the turf Saturday at Monmouth Park. The ownership team of IEAH Stables, Andrew Cohen, John Roberts, Doug Robertson, Steve and Roy Cobb, posted $300,000 to supplement the 4-year-old to the Breeders’ Cup. With the victory, they earned $1.4 million, a BC trophy and the satisfaction that comes from a winning gambit.

Baffert ends Breeders’ Cup drought (Reuters)
Trainer Bob Baffert waited five years to end his Breeders’ Cup drought then celebrated two victories in as many hours on Saturday with favorites Indian Blessing and Midnight Lute roaring to commanding wins.
