Good Night Shirt wins Iroquois Steeplechase (AP)
Good Night Shirt took the lead a few yards from the start and held it for three miles over 18 hurdles to win the $150,000 Grade I Iroquois Steeplechase at Percy Warner Park on Saturday. The win for last year’s steeplechaser of the year was his second win in Grade I races this season and vaulted him into the lead to repeat as champion.

Recapturetheglory is ill, could miss Preakness (AP)
Recapturetheglory might skip the Preakness after developing a fever. The colt finished fifth in the Kentucky Derby. Assistant trainer Lara Van Deren said the colt became feverish Friday night and his temperature spiked at 102 degrees Saturday morning. The horse was given medication as a precaution and will have blood work done.
