Mets park still Citi Field despite bank struggles
The Mets say the name Citi Field will remain on their new ballpark and believe the struggling bank will survive its current economic crisis following a government bailout.

Economic downturn to lead to Blue Jays staff cuts
Rogers Communications, owner of the Blue Jays, announced plans to lay off an unspecified number of employees in its media division, with about a third of those losses coming from the baseball team’s sales staff.

Jays’ owner, media mogul Rogers dies at 75
Ted Rogers, owner of the Toronto Blue Jays, died at his home on Monday. He was 75. The founder of Rogers Communications Inc., Canada’s largest cable television and mobile phone company, was treated in October for an existing heart condition, the company said Tuesday. Rogers Communications owns the Blue Jays and their home at the Rogers Centre, several television stations and an array of other media properties including Maclean’s and Chatelaine magazines.
