Anna Chakvetadze overwhelmed weak-serving Francesca Schiavone 6-0, 6-2 Wednesday to reach the quarterfinals of the Generali Ladies. Schiavone double-faulted 10 times and won only eight points on her serve in the opening set of the 47-minute match. Chakvetadze, a Russian ranked No. 7, drew the top seeding after defending champion Maria Sharapova and Nadia Petrova pulled out with injuries.
