U.S. Under-20 Women Fall to Russia Women’s National Team, 2-0, at Cyprus Tournament
LARNACA, Cyprus (March 7, 2008) — The U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team lost 2-0 to the full Russia Women’s National Team at the Cyprus Women’s Cup 2008 in its “non-tournament” match, and will face the Netherlands on March 10 for a spot in the championship. The USA, which must win its three-team group to make the title game, won its first group match over Scotland on March 5 by a 2-1 score.

Before preseason began, FC Dallas head coach Steve Morrow knew that he would be without two starters, midfielder Arturo Alvarez and center back Drew Moor, for the regular season opener against Chivas USA.
