The usssoccer.com Referee Week in Review is designed to address the issues facing referees at all levels by using video highlights from professional games as well as the U.S. National Teams. Written by U.S. Soccer Director of Referee Development Paul Tamberino and U.S. Soccer Manager of Assessment and Training Brian Hall, the Referee Week in Review will highlight specific areas of focus and current U.S. Soccer initiatives designed to improve performance and aid in the development of officials across the country.

U.S. U-15 Girls’ National Team Opens 2008 Women’s Nike Friendlies with Win
Perhaps inspired by watching the U.S. Women win the gold media earlier in the day, the U.S. Under-15 Girls’ National Team topped FC DELCO 5-0 to open the 2008 Women’s Nike Friendlies.

Cabrera Calls 40 Into Fall 2008 Semester of Under-17 Men’s National Team Residency Program
U.S. Under-17 Men’s National Team head coach Wilmer Cabrera and his staff have named 40 players to the 2008 fall semester of the U.S. Soccer Residency Program in Bradenton, Fla. All of the players were born in 1992, 1993 and 1994, and are eligible to compete in the 2009 FIFA Under-17 World Cup.

Bradley Names 20-Man Roster for FIFA World Cup Qualifying Games Against Cuba and Trinidad & Tobago
U.S. Men’s National Team head coach Bob Bradley has named a roster of 20 players that will train in advance of the pair of FIFA World Cup Qualifying games against Cuba on Sept. 6 in Havana and Trinidad & Tobago on Sept. 10 in Bridgeview, Ill.
